Your studies should be longer than six months if you want to apply for a study permit. If your studies are six months or less - you should be applying for a regular tourist visa. There is no guarantee either will be approved. The fact you are out of status will likely make it more difficult to get approval. But by all means give it a try.

1. The OP can apply for restoration as a visitor, s/he Can't apply for restoration as student, as was not the holder of a SA. Will have to apply for a study permit overseas.

Which are my options??? If i apply for restoration of my status (Visitor Visa)...And it is refused...How much time i have for go out of Canada.....my visa expired on may 25....And I have 90 days for restoration....This is the message from CIC

You may apply for restoration if, within 90 days from the expiry of your temporary resident status
you submit:
1) a completed application form;
2) applicable fees for restoration and for the immigration document(s). Payments should
be made online at www.cic.gc.ca.
3) When you are finished, you must print the receipt of payment and include it with your
application.
4) all required documents in support of your application
