I apply PR & move to canada, want to know how my wife can join me later?

1) can she apply thru PR though she is not working or can I sponser her & family which way?

2)If thru PR she wont have 67 points on her own & does she require IELTS? she is dependent

3) Any other best solution?

( I dont want to apply her in my PR due some reasons & want to join me later)

You list her (and kids if you have any) on your PR application as not-accompanying. She will still have to have a medical. When you are a PR, you can sponsor her later.

Not clear on

you can sponsor her later

-does it means when time comes I re-file her PR application, how do I reference this to my file if so..

-Normally how much it takes for her to have visa in hand, will it be faster like 1-3 months as prime applicant has already gone thru a long wait process..

You don't re-file an application, you file a sponsorship application. The processing time depends on which country she is in. I have never heard of anybody getting it faster than 4 months but it can go up to a year from some countries.

Here is the CIC sponsorship section: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse.asp

There is also a lot of info on this board if you use the search.

Thanks again, one more thing if I sponser my wife , family & get them to canada is there a wait period of 1095 canada presence in 5yrs for my family also or they will become citizen immediately if I'm citizen or when I become citizen assuming I'm still in PR

To be eligible to apply for citizenship, you must have been living in Canada as a PR for 1095 days in the last 4 years. Each person in your family over 18, including your wife, needs to meet this criteria. If you have children who are under 18 when you apply, you may include them on your application if they are already PR, even if they do not have 1095 days yet. For example, if your wife comes to Canada a year later than you, you can apply after you are in Canada 3 years, she has to apply a year later.

Citizenship takes about a year to process on average. Everybody who is over 18 needs to pass a citizenship test and everybody over 14 needs to take the citizenship oath but most people bring their younger children to the citizenship ceremony too.

Nobody gets citizenship automatically unless they are born in Canada or have a Canadian parent.
