Hello everybody :)

I hope everyone is doing okay and may you have peace, happiness and love living in your hearts always!

I came here in need praying if you can help me looking for answers I am not getting anywhere online when I have been searching alone for so long :( I get so confused and I do not know where to begin and what to do :'( so I came here to you all.

I am a Portuguese citizen. My gf is a Canadian Citizen and we are wanting to live there in Canada but I have no clue what to do and where to start for my papers. I have read I need a L.M.O in order to work in Canada first or a work permit? :/ I don't know... but can I get L.M.O alone without employer founded?
Do I start procedures from Portugal before going to Canada or start when I go there? So I only need L.M.O and I am done?

I am asking in complete humbleness what is the first step for me to start doing papers for living and working in Canada?

Please help me fellow people and guide me what to do :'(
I apologize if I sound desperate but I am so sad and don't want to live more years of distance. We cannot get married yet and I have to do all this alone.

PLEASE need help.
Thank you and OLA :)

God bless you.

You can't obtain an LMO on your own. Your employer must obtain the approved LMO. If you want to work in Canada, the first step is to find an employer in Canada who is willing to offer you a job. That employer must then obtain an approved LMO - and then you can apply for a work permit.

If your girlfriend is a Canadian citizen and you are either married or common law (have lived together for at least one full year) - then she might be able to sponsor you. See the first post here for more information:
