I submitted my wife application in 2012sep, we recevied only one email yet. I don't know how long it gonna take more? When I check status it says medical have been received. I m PR if go to pakistan so for how long can I stay there??

Current processing time for Pakistan is 32 months, so early to mid 2015.

As a PR, you must be in Canada while the application is processing. You can go to Pakistan for a short visit, no more than a few weeks. Any longer and you risk refusal due to being outside of Canada.
