I am planning to send my IELTS for Revaluation, so meanwhile I am planning to create EE profile with my wife as primary applicant. But I am afraid I might get an ITA before the result of revaluation, so it possible to update my IELTS score after receiving ITA?

Your scores are locked in when you receive ITA.

Why would you want to retake the IELTS if you believe that you will get ITA with the current score that you have? Retaking the IELTS would make sense only if your current score will NOT produce an ITA.

Hi, no i am not planning to retake the IELTS exam. I am just planning to go for revaluation as they have given terrible score in writing 6.5, whereas i was expecting 7.5/8. So, currently with my wife's score, I think we might be able to get an ITA. So, I am in a dilemma right now, if I create an EE profile with my wife as primary applicant and later when i get my revised score, I can update the profile. The problem is if I get an ITA before receiving my re-valuated IELTS score, than what options do i have?

Thanks for quick answer. It's okay if the scores get locked, but i can still send in my latest IELTS Test Report Form while submitting the documents? Or do you suggest that would create problem rather confusion in the mind of immigration officer?

Oh - I see what you are asking now.

I think you would be fine submitting the updated IELTS results if your score is increased. I would include an LEO to explain why the marks have changed from the time you received ITA.

Thanks scylla for valuable suggestion. Lower score in writing is bothering me and I want to sort it out, even when it's totally not needed for receiving an ITA. I just don't want to screw up with the process, so thought to post this question before I proceed for revaluation.

Gotcha. Like it was said earlier, a letter of explanation and scanning the new scores will do. Now that I think about it, if they revise the scores, the analysts and officer that will review your profile will have access to the updated scores. They have access to double-check directly with IELTS institution.
