I am asked to resubmit my degree/ECA

hi all,

I have done masters in canada and have work experience in Canada. I have applied for PR.
5 and half months into my application I am asked for replacement for my degrees certificates. I have already provided my degree certificates. In an email I received, I was also asked for ECA for foreign studies(which takes 35 business days) within 1 week . I dont know why I am being asked for ECA when my highest level of education is a masters in Canada.

I have provided all the transcripts, degree certificates, university certificates to IRCC.

Please help. What do I do? What do i need to provide?

It sure is very strange to see such document request. I'll say you sit still and wait for your results. If they refuse your application based on lack of ECA for your foreign Bachelor's Degree, they would have erred in law, which give you the rights to apply for a judicial review at the Federal court. Honestly I don't think they are that stupid. They probably were just out of their mind when made that request.

Call them and ask. It´s true that the call centre agents often can´t tell you much, but it´s worth a try. If they think it may be an error too, they can put in an inquiry on your behalf.

It's because you claimed points for your foreign studies (bachelor/certificates/degrees) that ECA are always required for when you apply for PR. No matter what you got your highest level of education in Canada, ECA is always asked for in case of your foreign studies are claimed. Hope it helps.
