Looks like the Immigration wants you to bring the ADOPTION DOCUMENTS as your proof or evidence that you have been legally adopted by your adopted mother.. Do you have Adoption Documents or Adoption Papers or whoever that have been adopted ? Are you legally adopted ?

They also want proof that your adoption was legal in Nigeria (or wherever it took place), so they want you to bring a copy of the Nigerian laws about adoption, to show that whatever documents you have were issued in accordance with these laws.
Frankly, I think you should get a lawyer to help.

That's what I was thinking too. Try to get a lawyer to write a letter explaining the law under which you were adopted and attach copies of the relevant laws to the letter. Also, take the lawyer's phone number so that you can call if they have follow-up questions about the specifics of your adoption.

Hi there - where did your adoption take place? You want a lawyer that's familiar with that geography so that they can help you collect copies of the laws under which your adoption took place (and ideally write a letter explaining them to the reader that you can take with you to your interview).

From what you describe of the letter you received, they want to have copies of the law that show that your adoption was legal and in accordance with all the requirements of the place where it occurred.

Re - your brother. That's sad! Maybe you can try to convince him to go with you so he keeps the option open if he changes his mind. Also, so you have company :)
