Hi all,

As explained in the title. I am now 31yr old and meet the required cut-off points (barely). However, I do not want to apply to the express entry now and would prefer to wait two or so years, since I have a good job right now and want to develop myself further in increase my chances of landing a job in Canada in the future.

My question is: I already have 25 points of foreign work experience. Would I lose points the more I age? won't my increasing work experience "balance things out"?

Kind regards

once you have 3 years of foreign work experience you cannot get more points in the CRS system from it. At max you can get 50 points (that is with CBL 9 language skill).

You can get more points on FSW / FST scale (the one that permits you to enter EE as such with min. 67 points). However beyond that those points are useless.
On the other hand you will loose every birthday 5-6 points (because you are 30+).

Choice it yours.

If you apply now and get the PR, you will still have three to four years to make the actual permanent move. You will have little less than one year to complete initial landing and then 3 years to permanently move to Canad after that point. So there is no need to wait.
