Hi Everyone. I'm new to this forum. I've been reading a lot of helpful threads here, and I wonder if I could get some advice on the particular field I'm in: environmental engineering.
I am a permanent resident who's not landed in Canada yet. I have a master's degree in environmental engineering from a US university focusing on environmental sustainability, and have about 3 years of relevant working experience in the US.
I'm so excited to be moving to Canada, and I'm wondering if you could tell me about the industry and the job market in this field, and give me some advice on how to get a job in the relevant field. I do not have a particular location that I'm willing to move to, but in terms of the weather I prefer the eastern part of the country.
Also, my husband is a PhD in the same field focusing on environmental research for the oil/gas industry. Information and advice on the opportunities of him getting a job in Canada is much appreciated, too!
Thank you all in advance!
