How will I find out about my visa being recieved and processed?

Its been a couple months now and have yet to hear anything. I just wanted to double check how I will find out that my visa has been received for an abroad partner sponsorship visa.

Its been a couple months now and have yet to hear anything. I just wanted to double check how I will find out that my visa has been received for an abroad partner sponsorship visa.

Give yourself latest 3 months and if there is no AOR for your application. Call IRCC or send a webform if possible to follow up on your file. It normally takes 3 months for the 1st response but could be even less than a month depending on the backlog or load in the processing center.

Dimilitantey, Upon checking my girlfriends IRCC account, no application has been linked yet and when we attempt to link it no applications can be found. The website says that an enquiry will only be responded to if the application has exceeded the normal processing times, which is 12 months.

I'm unsure what to do.

Okay so the AOR is the acknowledgement of receipt, normally the first stage where IRCC contacts you saying your file has been received and a case file number provided for tracking.

In short, I doubt you would be able to link when you haven't yet received AOR as an application number would be required for reference at most of the stages. And this would be sent to you via email when they open your file.

I really don't know long your file has been on their side. But if it's longer that say 3 months you can message them via a webform. Or direct email to inquire as you are worried and they might reply you with an application number, AOR or more information.

Infact mine took me 7 months to get my 1st response and I don't know why. Response though was only after I contacted them via webform so you could do same.

As for the website it's normally general info so don't take word for word always. Eg. On their website they completing files as of Nov 2019, whiles we have 2021 applicant also receiving PPR as in completed processing.

I probably should of given better information. So I do have a receipt, and on it is an authorization number, reference number, ISO code, and another code at the top. I tried linking with each of these and none of these work, so I'm unsure.

Okay so the committee issue with most people was that when linking the last question of how many applicants or something like that. Instead of 2 try 1 and see.

For me I tried several times and when I informed ircc of not able to link it. I was able to link it in 2 days time. So one of the reasons is that they haven't yet put it in their system.

So if you sure u tried and it isn't working try using 1 applicant then if still not working contact ircc to notify them.

We actually just received our linking code in the mail, and are now having this problem you spoke of.

I was just curious how you went about making an enquiry on the website?
