How to work as a cook

Hello!!

I am planning to work in Canada for a long time and live with my boyfriend which is living in Montreal with a student visa.
I would like to know what are my options to finda job in Montreal as a Cook.
I´m 20 years old and 21 in September and an Universitary Student in Tourism in Portugal.

Please help me!

I do not think it is very easy. I know two ladies who are both chefs and moved to Montreal. One of them had a big problem and ended up working in a call centre until she found a job as a cook in a hospital in some village in Northern Quebec. The other managed to find a part time job in a restaurant but after a while it closed. She ended up finding a position in a chef college so that is where she works now.
