How to Through Check-in Luggage to final destination (Air India)

Can anyone tell me about through luggage check in at IGI,Delhi to my final destination TORONTO(YYZ).
I have my flight on 10th of May > DEL to LHR( Terminal 4) ( Air India ) then after a layover of 4h 45 min > LHR(Terminal 3) to montreal to toronto( Air canada)

Does Air India do through check in via Air Canada.

Do we need to reclaim the luggage after landing at London Heathrow(LHR)
OR
There is a possibility where the baggage is Through Checked-In (where the baggage reaches the final destination and there is no need to pick it up at London Heathrow

Anyone who has travelled through the same route, kindly help and guide through the right process.

Did you check with Air-India , what did they say ?

I am travelling by Jetairways , they are proving luggage checkin to final destination

Does Air India do through check in via Air Canada.

No. But it could be that Air India takes you only to London , and then you change to Air Canada.Anyways you will get your luggage only in Toronto before going to Immigration.
