How to state working on an open permit?

Hi everyone,

I'm a full time worker in Toronto, 30 years old and working on a "International Canada Experience" 2-year valid open work permit. Set to expire mid 2017.

I've been working at my Canadian employer for over a year and we're in the process of getting a LMIA.

It's likely it'll be successful and once obtained I'll apply for express entry for PR.

But there's a few things about the Express Entry Application that make it difficult to figure out how I express this:

1: Intended work in Canada section: How do I declare I'm on an open work permit? Is there a NOC code for it? Do I use my professions NOC code instead?

2: Work History section: When stating my current job in Toronto as work experience? Which is most applicable for someone working on it who is on a open work permit + has a positive LMIA (Obtained a year after employed)
option 1: No work permit required. (This doesn't seem right)
option 2: Work permit required, no LMIA required (This describes my current predicament, being on a open work permit.)
option 3: Work permit required, LMIA required (This describes the situation I'll be in once I get my LMIA and apply for express entry)

Thanks for any replies.

First of all, express entry is not an application. It's a profile what you can and need to update. Fill it according to your current situation.

Since you don't have your LMIA yet, you don't have an arranged job offer in Canada, so answer no to that question.

If you get an LMIA, it doesn't change your open work permit or work situation automatically. You will need to apply for another work permit which will be based on the LMIA. Till then you should choose option 2: Work Permit required, no LMIA required.
