hmm thats gonna be hard cause her mom wont do it and her cousin or aunt wouldnt either. what if we hid it from the officer? cause im sure she wont be able to be away from her pet for a months to a year

If this is your answer then maybe you two need to go back and actually read through everything that’s required and rethink if this is the best option for you. Smuggling an animal? Smh.

Seriously? Attempting to smuggle an animal into Canada is a great way to get arrested and banned from Canada.

last thing you want to do is to smuggle an animal across the border..

Did she travel with her pet across the border before? Does she need to get any paperwork or vet's note or shots?

thats what i was thinking lol, but i know itll be hard for her not to be able to take her gecko with her. The gecko doesnt need anything at the moment the last time the gecko was at the vet was last year

hey guys i have another question, i forgot to mention this earlier but i am in the middle of a divorce and its being dealt with, but is it okay to bring her into canada and have her stay and do the paper work ahead of time while we wait for the divorce to finish?

Well, this turned into quite a messy thing from a simple question.

If you're currently finalizing a divorce, you cannot get legally married in Canada (or elsewhere) as a path to an expedited spousal application. If the divorce is taking a while to finalize, your other option is a common-law relationship - live together for at least 12 months prior to applying.

But to answer a question you asked earlier - if you're currently still married, you cannot get married to the new girlfriend and apply for spousal sponsorship until the divorce is finalized.

I know, i didnt mean to its just been stressful and having to deal with other stuff and im just trying to get everything ready and figuring it out with my gf so im asking ahead of time. i know now i cant get married until the divorce is done, but i can still have her live with me for the 12 months in the meantime until whenever the divorce is done then we can get married. my only concern is if its okay to bring her into canada while im in the middle of the divorce, and she said she will find a way to bring her gecko even after i told her you guys mentioned itd be hard to and can be refused to enter canada

The answers are still the same. She can come to Canada. Bringing the pet is a bad idea.
