Dear CANADAVISA,
I applied for permanent visa under family class (spouse). My husband is a citizen having working in Asia over 20 years. He reitred in 2010 and we got married in 2014. We decided to move back to Canada for few reasons: western life style, family reunion (father in law is 83 too). All a long the application is very smooth we answer and provide all request documents on time.
However, I just received a procedure fairness letter from IRCC to submit substantial proof of my sponsor's genuine intent to return to Canada, including but not limited to 1) credible evidence of your and your sponsor's plan to establish in Canada; and 2) credible evidence that you and your spousor have severed, or have begun to sever ties to Taiwan or Hong Kong (disposal of assets, contracted shipment of goods to Canada, living arrangements in Canada, letters of resignation).
The problem with us are we are planning to do the above once getting approval (does it makes sense? otherwise we will be in trouble) and therefore nothing have done yet and we are not able to provide concrete evidence (paper, asset transfer etc.). We intend to stay in my father in law house (83 years old) so we can also look after him (therefore no proof for living arrangement). My husband is retired (age 58) and we are not working at the moment therefore we are not able to provide the letters of resignation.
All we can do at this moment is to explain by words, we have no physical evidence, this worry us.
If we put our house in Taiwan on sale through agency, will that help. We have 30 days to reply.
Thanks in advance for your help.
