How to report new baby!

Hey everyone!

So we got 2 great news yesterday!

Our daughter Amelia was born at 3am; she is amazing! We also received passport request a few hours later; so relieved!

So I know we have to inform CIC of her birth. She was born in Canada so no issues with residency here. Which form should I send in? Or just an email to our VO is enough? Also I guess I should notify them before sending the passport?

Any advice is appreciated! Thank you!

Congrats for the baby and PPR!
Just email the visa office or CPC Ottawa, they will ask you for the birth certificate and that is it.

If the child was born in Canada, you must submit the a legible copy of a long form birth certificate showing the names of father and mother. No medical examination or processing fee is required if the child was born in Canada. On receipt of these documents, your child will be added to your application as a non-accompanying dependent.

Thank you! Do you think this needs to be done before I send in the passport? Not sure how long getting a birth certificate will take..

I think I will send in the passport right away on Monday to at least get that rolling.
