Is it necessary to include them on

- IMM 1344A Part C?
- IMM 5481 5A or 6B? What about if sponsoring spouse has no income (i.e., the person being sponsored supports the family, so the dependents are not financially dependent on the sponsor
- IMM 5002 Part B - it appears not required.

Thanks

1. None of the above, IMM 5406
2. Immaterial, the sponsor states no income.

Thank you. So I should just ignore my kids for purposes of this whole process?!?
Of course, put them in the corner and refuse to speak to them. Just list them on the IMM 5406.

I wasn't aware that I needed to include IMM5406. Where does it say that?
Part B: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp#region
If you don't read the guide and forms thoroughly they is a good chance they will be returned as incomplete, or will cause delays.

Interesting. I was following this link:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp

which seems to include a whole different set of forms and mentions nothing about Form 5406 and uses the application on Form 5002 instead of 0008.

But you didn't state that you were applying as an in-canada spousal, makes a difference.

Sorry. My family and I are currently living in Canada. I am currently here on a work permit. My husband and children are here as citizens.

Does that change any of your responses to my original question? Thanks

Yes, the children are included 6(b) of the 5481 and you don't require the 5406 but you include copies of the children's CC passport or birth certificate as per the 5443.

Thanks. With respect to 6b - what about the fact that my husband (the sponsor) is a stay-at-home parent and I (the applicant) support the family financially? The question asks for "every other family member not included above and dependent on you financially..."

Because I am the person who supports the family financially, there is technically no one who is dependent on my husband financially. Do we still need to include our Canadian citizen children uner 6b?

PMM - Re: How to report dependent children who are already Canadian citizens??

I was going to do inland, but based on advice here and going to do outland. Anyway, I got some advice from you a few weeks ago in which it looked like you didn't think we needed to include our Canadian citizen children on Form 5481, question 6B. The issue is that the sponsoring spouse has no income - he is a stay at home parent supported by me (the sponsored person). However, once I clarified that I was doing inland, you seemed to say that I needed to include them on Form 5481, question 6B.

So, now that it is clear I am doing outland, I wanted to clarify whether they should be included on 5481 #6B. Thanks
