Hi everyone. I am a CEC inland principal applicant, awaiting for COPR. Now I have a falling out with my husband, I want to remove him from my application or at revoke his PR status when we get one. How should I go about this? I don't want to add some more delays to my COPR so I might as well hold it for now, but I really don't want him to get his PR status here. Can I request to revoke it once we get approved? Please help. I really don't want him staying here.

For what I’ve read in order to remove him from your application you need legal documentation stating the separation/divorce. After he becomes a permanent resident I believe you won’t have any options, he will have the same rights as you (no longer your dependent). I strongly suggest you get a consultation with a Canadian immigration lawyer, specially if you have strong reasons for not wanting him to be here in Canada.
