Hello Everyone,

Just a quick question. I got my PPR on 21st October and planning to do soft landing in Feb and then finally relocate in 2019. Now there are high chances of me getting married over the coming months.

So i wanted advise on how i can get my spouse along with me? should i ask her to apply under express entry as well or is there an easier way out? In all honesty I do not want the Canadian authorities to think its a marriage of convenience just to obtain the PR.

So please please help me out with your suggestion.

Which is advisable? I haven't fixed dates. If it helps to get married before landing then i can do that. Else i can postpone.
Please suggest.

It is up to you if you get married before you land or not. If you do you will have to resubmit your application including your wife and then you can land together. If you land and then return to your home country to get married you will like be separated for about a year as you sponsor her from Canada. It will be very hard for her to get a TRV to enter Canada until the sponsorship is completed. It is up to you to determine what works with your life best.

resubmitting application means starting the entire application from fresh? like entering the pool etc again? or is there a way to update the application to add spouse?

No it is a much faster process. You wife will have to do the medical, pass background screening, etc . You will have to resubmit your passport once again when she does. I believe it takes approximately 3 months once you submit all paperwork and do medical.
