Hi There,

I am moving to Canada along with my Family in August-2018 from India.

I have some queries on funds.
1. Can I show funds in my current bank account (that is in India) and some cash along?
2. If not, how can i move the funds? What modes can i avail?
3. Will I have to show the funds proof on landing?

Any guidance is highly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.

Best,
Rahul

No need to convert the entire settlement funds into travellers cheques. About $5000 should be sufficient. The rest can be kept in your Indian bank account and moved later. If you bring more than$10000 in cash or equivalent then it needs to be declared at customs.
