How to mid-to-long term visit fit into the "Addresses" section of the schedule A background declaration form?

Hey - something kind of jumped up in my mind with the schedule A Background declaration - my wife, the applicant, visited me in Canada quite a few times, sometimes for a month or two (longest was four months) at a time. She was a visitor each time, and didn't have any immigration status, and her mail and declared residence was always in the United States, but she was staying with me at my mother's house while visiting.

Would we need to put these down in the "addresses" section of the schedule A background declaration? We've already declared the visits elsewhere in the personal history section.

Let me know. Thanks!

It is up to you. As you say, it's already disclosed elsewhere. On the other hand the multiple times living together support genuine nature of relationship so help your case if listed as address. Or list only the longest visits (disclose some cut off, ie address used only for visits of more than two months).

In either case you could include short letter of explanation - saying either you did not list as address because she had not moved officially, or the converse (ie you have listed as address during these lengthy visits but she was with you on a visit, not as a resident).

Personally I would lean to putting this in the address section, at least the four month visit, but doubt that it would be a critical point if you make it clear.

I’m not too concerned about supporting the genuine nature of our relationship, because we’ve been together and married for Over 6 years and we have a lot of evidence.

I’m a little hesitant to include that under the address section because she wasn’t truly living there as a resident and I don’t want to blur or misrepresent the nature of her visits, IE making it look like she was living there without proper status or something.
Thoughts? Has anyone else encountered this?

Since you're not worried about the genuine relationship issue, then my suggestion above is pretty simple: don't include in the address part, attach a short letter of explanation that you didn't include visits because she was just visiting, refer to the part of your application that discloses those visits.
