How to loose Citizenship ?

While reading about income support rules I noticed in the application form you have to show your immigration papers even if you are Canadian but immigrated within the last 10 years.

Somewhere I believe to have read you can loose you Citizenship status again.

So in what cases can it happen that you loose Citizenship ? I though once you have it, you are a bullet-proof unlimited Canadian, seems not so !

You can only lose your citizenship if it is proven that you committed misrepresentation (lied) to gain your PR or to gain your citizenship.

They probably ask for the immigration documents for income support to see if you were sponsored. When a spouse is sponsored for PR, the sponsor takes responsibility financially for 3 years after they got their PR but if it is not a spouse that is sponsored but another relative that is sponsored under the federal system such as a dependent child or a parent, the sponsor is financially responsible for 10 years or in the case of a child until they are 25, even if it hasn't been 10 years.

It is therefore possible that you were sponsored to Canada at age 12 by a stepfather for example and at 20, you apply for income support but actually, your stepfather would still be responsible for you and could be forced to pay it back.

This is bloody rubbish. There were only few people who actually lost their Canadian citizenship since confederation and these people are those who committed high crimes against Canada or the British empire before. The latest to lose their citizenships are those good for nothing scum of these bloody earth who forged their way into Canada by pretending to be protected persons or refugees and those slime balls that used crooked Canadian Immigration consultants to cover for them while they were out of Canada enjoying their former rotten lives in their God-forsaken countries. These are the people who lose citizenship. Unless your not one of them, you will be secure. Canada's immigration system is one of the highest and most reputable in this side of God's earth. Finally, the Canadian passport that symbolizes our citizenship cannot be taken away arbitrarily or just by any whims by anybody.
