How to know that I passed stage #1 for PR application? please advise

Hi all!

It says in the CIC website that the processing time for stage #1 "Initial Assessment" is 12 months. For me, it has been 13 months already. My time line is :
We received your application for permanent residence on February 17, 2015.
We started processing your application on March 20, 2015.

Please advise me how to know that I passed stage 1? Does CIC usually informs the applicant when they passed stage #1?

i dont see anything wrong in your timeline, looks like a usall timeline unless I am wrong as first stage is 12 months or more ... I think you will get an update in a month or two... you will know you passed stage 1 when you get your AIP.
