How to know if my AOE is genuine and what happen if the company goes bankrup

I'm new here and would really appreciate if someone can help me on this

Is there a way to know if an AOE (Arranged Employment Opinion ) is genuine? A Canadian career services center was paid by my canadian friend to find an employment for me. After few months, they managed to find one employee that is willing to offer me a job & write me an AOE. Is there any way to check if this is genuine? Even if this AOE is approved by HRSDC, will CIC(Citizenship and Immigration Canada) go back and check it again later? What would happen if the company goes bankrup during my PR process (it's better to be safe in this current economy crisis)

If you paid for an AEO, it is unlikely that the job will exist when you/if you get PR. CHC may not catch on, but again they might.

My friend only made small payment (I think about $75) to the career services center, not directly to the employee. I did go through all the interview process with the employee before they said they would offer me a full time position. The only thing that worry me is that this is a really small company, and is not doing well right now. I just fear that if I will be screwed if they goes bankrupt before I get my PR
