How to input your name to prevent confusion on LOA, and other official documents?

Hi guys,

I wonder if anyone has experience in this matter? I am applying to a university, and I am not sure if I should leave the middle name(s) section blank. For example, my full name is Tran Thi Minh Tu (I am a Vietnamese) and that is how my name showed on passport and other national documents. There'd be 2 ways to input my name:

1. By this way, my full name would be displayed: Tu Thi Minh Tran or Tran, Tu Thi Minh
First name: Tu
Middle name: Thi Minh
Last name: Tran

2. By this way, my full name would be displayed: Thi Minh Tu, Tran and 100% most people will think my first name is Thi.
First name: Thi Minh Tu
Last name: Tran

However, I believe that when it comes to fill out the immigration form, there are always only 2 sections: last name and given name(s), so I have no choice but to fill out the name as option 2 above.

I more side with option 1, but seems like option 2 will result in the most closest display for my name. Can anyone, please, just give me an advise if it is ok to go with option 1 and there would be no problem with it in the future?

Thank you all in advance.
