if you became a Canadian citizen by birth or naturalization.....your newborn will be 1st generation born abroad and is a Canadian citizen...and you need to apply for your newborn proof of citizenship and then Canadian passport.

if you were born abroad to a Canadian parent....your newborn will be 2nd generation born abroad and need to be sponsored as PR in Canada.

Apply for a Canadian citizenship certificate

if your wife is not a Canadian citizen or PR....and you intend to move back to live in Canada, you will need to sponsor your wife as PR in Canada.

Sponsoring your spouse, partner or dependent child

You could submit a separate application for your newborn and a separate application for your wife at the same time.
