Hi,

I filed my application for me and my family (wife and my kids).
My wife has just decided she doesn't want to be in Canada anymore and she wants to leave immediately.
She is not the mother of my kids.

Is there any way to remove her from my application?

I filed the application on April 4th.
And I think looking at other statuses, we're close to the end of our application.

Me and the kids are from visa-exempt countries. My wife needs an entry visa, so basically I want to remove her from the application because if they ask for her passport and she is no longer here, I'm not sure how to handle this.

Also another question, my kids need to go to Belgium next week to spend summer holiday with their mother. If the application is approved and we need to send copy of passport and photo's. Can I do the landing by myself and my kids afterwards when they come back in september?

thanks

To remove your wife from your application, you will need to provide paperwork to CIC to demonstrate that you are divorced, have started divorce proceedings, or have legally separated. A letter won't be enough. You'll need to provide some sort of legal / official documentation that proves you are no longer together.

Yes - you can do the landing yourself and your children can land later. They will have to land before the expiry date on their PR visas.

Papers will not be possible if she just leaves. Would it cause problem with the application if we get the PPR and she's asked for the passport and I sent a letter indicating she is no longer in Canada and not going to continue?
For me and the kids I can send the copies. I'm just scared that if I don't send her passport, they might not complete the application.

Regarding the kids, we are currently on implied status. The WP and visitor records expired in April. Extensions have been requested and I guess somewhere next week I should have the decision on that. But since the're from Belgium they don't need any entry visa to cross the border.
