How to go about a divorce/separation as a low earner PR in Edmonton Canada

My wife and I recently became landed Canadian PRs in September 2024 and April 2024 respectively. However, it looks like we are headed for divorce. While this completely sucks, since we had planned a life together in Canada, I would like to be clear about the immigration ramifications and what to do to have a smooth divorce.

More details:
- I lost my job in Canada 2 months after I resumed due to downsizing at my company, I currently earn a minimum wage and may not be able to pay the exorbitant charges to hire an immigration lawyer
- We have no significant assets together except for the household gadgets I bought prior to her landing.
-She doesn't have a job and not ready to go out to do a survival job to support. All she does daily is to eat, surf the internet, unsupport, curse, disrespect, talk rudely and frustrate me in the house
- We have a year and half old daughter who also became PR September 2024.
- I have been the only one paying for the house rent we both live in despite her having access to money from some of her friends in other part of the world
- I did not sponsor her, but I was the principal applicant and she and my daughter are my dependents.
- She is making hidden moves not to let my daughter love me
- I am mentally disturbed and my health is really suffering it as I find it hard to concentrate in the work.
- She is making hidden moves not to let my daughter love me

Questions:
- Is the divorce going to affect either of our PR's?
- Which will be easier for me in either divorcing or separating (I wish to remarry later)
- Is it likely that when we go up for citizenship application , we will be marked for secondary inspection?
- If yes to either of the above questions, is there a certain time frame after becoming PRs that it is safe to get a divorce?
- I will like to stay far from her i.e not live in the same roof as she is too dirty and keeps frustrating me. Would I be the one to provide an accommodation for her if I decide to leave the house?
-I just don't know what to do. PEOPLE PLS HELP ME (I would have gone to hire a lawyer. just that I don't have the financial power to do that)

Thanks.
Henry

- there is no impact to your PR status or citizenship application
- whether you are required to give her support payments will depend on the terms of your divorce settlement and is not an immigration question

You don't need a lawyer to do a divorce, as long as your relationship doesn't turn adversarial. You can file it yourself.
