How to give Biometrics when applying online ?

I am going to start the Visa process online for Canada but I have heard something about Biometrics,
I have no idea about how to deal with it and where to go for Biometrics when Applying online. ?

You will receive an email from embassy about your biometrics and then you will visit VAC along with that email and your identification proof i.e passport to give your biometrics.

Online: not sure but I guess NO.
Paper: YES, at the time of file submission at VAC

What I have seen from past few months i.e from JAN'14 to present, according to that, PAPER BASED is recommended.
People are getting very quick responses. I am telling you this for Pakistan. Mine was also paper based.

But, aren't we supposed to submit original documents for paper based application ?

Yup, for paper based, you need to submit all the original docs.
So in case you go for paper based submission, get the photocopies/scans of all your documents before submission. This is just to be on safe side but you will get everything back whatever you will submit as a supporting document.

I just checked your status it shows that you got visa in 35 days from lahore, whereas CIC processing time for Pakistani students is 11 weeks average.
1) Did you submitted your fees before applying for visa ? If yes then 1st semester fees or 1st year.
3) It shows you got visa on 14 February 2014, so did you apply for may session or September ?
4) Can you also tell me the factor on which the processing time depends or is it completely depend on your luck ?
