Met an American boy fell in love online and now we want to start a life together in Canada. How do we get started? What are the steps? Do we have to get married first? Please a step by step would be great. Sorry for the inconvenience, we just don't know where its done in Canada, or the forms. Thanks for all your help

You must be married or common law in order to sponsor him to Canada. Common law means you have lived together continuously for a minimum of one full year.

If you have never met, don't get married the first time you meet - otherwise Canada may think this is a marriage of convenience and refuse you. You should visit each other a number of times and spend time and trips together before you get married.
