I got a job in Canada which sucks and I hate it. I'm on employer specific work permit. What are the ways to get open work permit?
My employer doesn't keep the agreement, he gave me another job offer to sign when I arrived in Canada. First job offer says the overtime will be paid after 40 h, the other one says after 44 hours. First one is non-seasonal, the other one is seasonal. The contract says I will get 2 days off per week, but when they need me to work on Saturdays they ask me if I want to and I was instructed that I can't refuse that offer, I have to work when they ask me if I want to. So than I don't get 2 days off. Sometimes they make me work over the daily time limit and I don't get enough break between the shifts for rest. The contract also says that I will get a lunch break and I don't get any break. Also they hired too many people and they don't have enough work for all of us so they give me different start times every day, sometimes it's 6 o'clock, sometimes it's 2 PM and they say - it's senority. But senority doesn't apply when they need me in the morning and they give earlier start time than the more senor ones. Furthermore they have a contractor, which I have to work with, and he yells at me and my collegues, swears at us, insults us etc. All that causes that I'm stressed out, have a depression and had to see a psychologist. I can't change the employer on my visa. What can I do? If I understand correctly if I apply for an open WP as vulnerable worker than an officer will decide if to grant it or no. How long does it take and is there any risk for me associated with that? If they fire me, because they find out I can't be without a job for too long. What's the chance that I will get it? Also can I apply for open WP if I get fired? If I don't change that job I'm gonna have to go back to my country as I can't live like that. Please help
