Hi everyone!
'm citizen of Ukraine and going to get married with Canadian citizen in Ukraine.
what documents he have to bring to Ukraine? We translated his full passport into Ukrainian language but still I have few questions :
1)Is it necessary for my future husband to bring birth certificate with apostille for Ukraine?
2)Does he have to show any special document which certifies where he lives?
3)Does he have to bring any declaration of single status(he has never been married)?or can he get it from Canadian Embassy in Ukraine?
As we planned marriage registration very soon I wanted to make sure that we both have proper documentation for that.
Please advice
Thank you

He just needs to follow the Ukrainian rules for getting married there, nothing is needed on the Canadian side. My husband and I got married in Central America and all we did was fill out the forms for the country we were wed in. Just make sure that Canada recognizes a Ukrainian marriage. I've heard they don't honor every countries marriage certificate. HTH!

Once the Notice of Application for a Marriage License is obtained, you and your Ukrainian spouse can arrange your marriage ceremony. Marriage to your Ukrainian wife does not automatically qualify you for Ukrainian nationality; you should also be aware that Ukraine does not recognize dual citizenship.
