how to get application number, client number, file number etc for TRV?

I do not have any of these to check the status of my TRV. How do i get this. I checked the application I submitted (pdf), there is a VALIDATE button on top, and it has some bar codes generated at the end. I do not see any application number here.

Is there any other way to expedite the process without going there personally? Documents submitted on July 3rd. I have my travel coming up on AUG 9th

Dont think there is a way to check status of app for TRV

I've been searching all over the CIC website and don't think there is a link to check for TRV even if you a client/file number! My husband applied for a visitor visa from the Canadian embassy in Abu Dhabi almost a month ago , and we still havent heard back..again, from what I've found I don't think you can check on the progress for a TRV!!

I don't know about AD, sorry, but for anyone reading this thread who applied in India and used VFS you can use the tracker. http://www.vfs-canada.co.in/visatracking.html There may be something similar in other countries.

Its visitor visa for my husband in Abu Dhabi, so the application was submitted to the Canadian embassy in AD!! I've looked everywhere and am pretty certain now that there is no link to check on an update..I did find a lot of other embassy website with links to check on TRV status!!
