How to get an Open work permit from closed while unemployed

Hi,I have a close work permit with a food service(FS) company as a supervisor,from where I resigned a month ago,and my Closed Work Permit(CWP) expires in June as my wife's open work permit(OWP),but We have applied for permanent residency(PR),and we are very close to getting our PR,as our application status is "in process",and there is nothing missing within documentation,as they started processing around 6 months ago.The thing is when I resigned from my(FSS) job I was thinking that I will get it very soon my PR as for lots of people it takes around 9 months,but for me it took more than 13 months up to now.The thing is when I resigned I started self-studying for my second profession,as I am an economist-manager(back home insurance company client care manager-customer serv. rep.,call center specialist) and I want to work with that profession.But the thing is my wife works at a bank and she got a notice that before 90 days her Open Work permit expiration,she should resign as well if there is no status change with her application as well.And now I want to know is there any chance to get my work permit opened from closed without a current employer and extended as well(I do not have current employer,but I have an offer from the same bank where my wife works if I get OWP) and at the same time extend my wife's work permit.Please just let me know what are my options...
