Hi everyone,

I will need some help regarding my ability to work as a contractor in Canada.
I have been living in Vancouver for one year already as I was a student and allowed to work part time.
I have the opportunity to work as a contractor and I would like to know what I can do to work as a contractor?
Because it is not a job offer, right? so I can't ask for a work permit, right?
I already have a company who can write a letter saying that I can work as a contractor for them, is that enough? what else can I do?

Thank you for reading and any help you can provide.

No - a letter is certainly not enough.

In order to work legally, you need a work permit. To obtain a work permit, you need an offer of full time employment and an approved LMIA from an employer.
