How to follow up on application?

Hello guys

finally we mailed my husband's sponsorship application lat week .i'm not sure what is next now?!

based on my understanding , any contact will be through the email address ,

do we wait to hear from them ?
would they let u know when they start processing the application ?

How can we follow up closely ?

If you just sent it in last week you should expect to wait 45-60 days before you hear anything from CIC. The first correspondence you receive will be AOR1 in an email letting you know to link your application to your online account with instructions on how to do so. Once linked you will be able to view any messages and see the statue of your application.
