Hey Guys, Hope someone will be able to answer this question.

I have filled the fingerprint form and completed fingerprinting.

The form FD-258, has a field called "ORI".

As far as I can understand this field, is different for different agencies.

The law agency in my country does not know their ORI code, when I asked them, they just shook their head and said "not needed".

But the guideline from FBI says "ORI is a required field, and application maybe rejected if ORI is wrong or blank". :-X

So now I am confused...... :-\

How did u guys complete this field??

BTW this form is needed to get a FBI clearance for people who has resided in USA for more than 6 months at a time.

hi

what was your solution ?

I am confused with this no now ..

The ORI is NOT needed for immigration fingerprints. The ORI is for the Originating Agency Identification. This would only be used if someone, other than yourself was requesting your fingerprints. It can be left blank.
