How to find if BUFFALO received my application.

Hi,

My application for sponsership was approved on Dec-14-2009 at CPC-M and I received a letter saying it has been forwarded to Buffalo.
I see people whose application are approved after me have there status on ecas that Bufallo has received the application and it is "in processing".

I emailed the Bufallo visa office and they responded they have no record of my application and they are creating file for application received till Jan-04-2010.

I have heard that Buffalo is returning back the application packet (in full) if there is no proof for legal stay in USA like ( I-94, I-797 or I-20). I have not included these documents but copy of the passport with valid visa and entry date stamped on it.

I am worried what is taking time and in case they sent my application back . Basically what is the way to find out what is going on?

All I want to know where are my documents?

You will see an update on eCAS when Buffalo starts to process your case, but that'll take about a month.

Its been one month and their reply in email says..they have no record of my application.
Does it mean my application is lost? They are already processing application for Jan-04-2010.
CPC-M sent my application on Dec-14-2009. I am sure it does not take more than 10 days (in case of postal mail) .
I am more worried about postal loss .. Lets see...

The applications are sent via diplomatic post, so it's very unlikely that an application would get lost. I guess it's possible it arrived in Buffalo and somebody misplaced it or it could've accidentally be mailed somewhere else. A number of possibilities. I'd give them a couple more weeks and then start nagging.

Just keeping my fingers crossed and hope I see in-process some day.
I will email them again if I do not see any change after 2 more weeks.
