Hi,

I migrated to Canada last year with my husband as Permanent Residents under FSWP.
I want to bring my younger sister (25 years old) on study permit to Alberta.
We have already applied for a college and received the letter of acceptance for Winter 2016.

Now, she is about to apply for a study permit. We are confused on proof of funds documentation.

I understand that one should pay the tuition fees and deposit $10,000 in a Canadian bank account and/or show assets or bank balance in India to support their monthly living.
I am ready to sponsor for her tuition fees, accommodation, travel, flight tickets, and all other expenses during her stay in Canada for the study duration. So is the $10,000 deposit still required? I will be submitting a letter explaining my sponsorship & proof of my income/bank statements etc.

I will be grateful if anyone explain how it works. I tried to check with a few consultancies but all in vain.

Plssss help!

Thank you,
swat

CIC might question how you would support your sister financially
1.you are married and whether you have a kid or not, how you/ your spouse would support your sister and your family.
- make enough income to support both?

2. Even though you pay everything, your sister would have enough fund on her own bank account.
and show CIC enough proof of home tie : she will coma back home after her study.

3. you are married, so you would need agreement from your spouse to support your sister (probably)
you should write a letter that you and your spouse would support her financially etc and should both of you sign on a letter.
your sister also can write a cover letter that what she would study and brief future plan in home country and would work part/full time while studying in Canada etc.
