Hi all, Thank you for your replies.

I have to apply for a study permit for my 10 year old child. I am an international student. She does not have an LOA to fill the columns for IMM1294 and IMM5646 where it ask for " name and place of institution".

Can I leave it blank?
I will be admitting her to one of the free schools that the Canadian government provides there. Till I land there, I may not be sure of the school. Please help.

Hi,
For the Question that says "My level of study will be:" select Primary School. It will grey out the DLI # and institution name boxes. For the address, just type in "TO BE DETERMINED". Select the province and town that you will be going to.

Though not necessary, I was able to get LOA for my kids from the Elementary and Secondary school boards in the township that my DLI is in (Quebec). I simply emailed them, provided my kids' details and they sent me LOAs for all of them.

Can you plz answer my query ?
When minor children travel with a parent who is a student ,what emergency health coverage should be taken for them or can they be covered under the provincial health plan?

Depends on the province. Some qualify for provincial health plan while others must pay to add their children to their international health plan through their school.

Exactly what @canuck78 said. For me, I had to pay extra to add my kids to my health plan as we don't qualify for provincial plan in Québec.
Thanks! Do i have to add the children before applying for visa or before travelling ? Also my college is in Ontario ,certain TRV holders are eligible for provincial plan ,but im not sure if minors accompanying students are ..
