How to extend TRV for spouse

Hi everyone,

I have a very small and silly question here:
My wife and I are currently in Canada, just got the Work Permit extended, and trying to extend TRV for both of us. I'm holding the regular WP and she is holding OWP as my dependent. I'm wondering if we should use a single IRCC account for applying TRV extension or she needs to do it with a separate account?

I'm asking since I tried with a single account and able to "Add additional member to the application", I'm expecting a form IMM5257 required for family member but it ends with IMM5710, I'm not sure if this is the right way to do.

Why are you trying to extend your status as visitors?

The WP and OWP give you status in Canada. You don't need to extend your visitor status.

If your TRVs are expiring and you want to renew them in order to be able to leave and then re-enter Canada, that's a brand new TRV application - not an extension. All an extension does is allow you to remain in Canada longer as visitors.

Hy I have a question that someone with conditional discharge can apply for sowp. My frnd is on workpermit here and she had a conditional discharge she want to apply for her husband work permit who is in India. Can she apply for him or not. Please let me know. Thank you in advance

My wording is indeed incorrect here and you are right, I should say we need to apply for a new TRV due to the current visa is going to expire. So does that mean we need to apply separately with different accounts, because I assume OWP should follow the same procedure as regular WP?
