How to defer actual landing & maintain PR obligation

My medicals is valid up-to 1yr i.e. 05/2018.
So I guess it is mandatory that i land before 05/2018 & get my PR card & come back.( correct me if am wrong)

But my question is up to what year i can defer my actual landing ?

After my real landing how many years do i have to stay to maintain my pr?

Can someone give me an idea so that I can maintain my PR.

You have to 'land' before the expiry date on your PR visa. Once you land, you have to live in Canada for 2 out of every 5 rolling years to keep your PR status.

1.Once you accept & submit ITA. The you get the COPR & your passport is requested for PR Visa. How long is that valid ?

2. 2nd thing as per my knowledge have land in canada within 1 year expiry of upfront medicals provided during ITA ?

3. Once you get the PR card after landing in canada, how long is that valid, 5 years ?
