Hi,

If I am working part-time on Nov 2013 for 24 hours, and full time this year since Jan to December (40 hours a week, which means it's definitely more than 1560 hours) for a NOC A position.

Is it possible for me to apply at early December (Considering that the 8000 cap hasn't been reached) to get away with the new EE policy ?

Thanks for your help.

It seems possible, but you'll need to give more details than that.

If we calculate based on some assumptions:

- let's say you worked eight weeks during November and December, 2013, part-time for 24 hours per week
- and let's say you have been employed full-time (30+ hours per week) since January 1

The 8 part-time weeks would equate to 6.4 full-time weeks: ( 24 × 8 ) ÷ 30.
Each week since January is one full-time week.

Your target is 52 full-time weeks, so at the current rate you'd hit your target in November.

If you want to calculate using 1,560 hours as a target, then you would arrive at the same result. Just keep in mind that you cannot accrue work experience faster than 30 hours per week.
