How to count points for school studies... senios plz plz help!!!!

Can anybody help me please????

In my visa application I counted my schooling years on following basis:
Elementary/Primary - 8 years (3 yrs Nursery+5 years primary)
Secondary/High School - 7 years
Diploma- 3 years
Masters degree - 1 year
Is it right or I should count only 12 years of schooling ????
Will I be able to get 25 points as I have masters degree and 17 years of full time study????

1. You don't count nursery So then you have 12 years secondary and elementary
2. To my mind you need a degree, not a diploma to get into a Masters program.
3, You wont get 25 points, even if they count the Masters as it only took 16 years. Max 22

But i did 3 yrs diploma in electrical engg frm India. and after that masters degree in engg. management from UK. And so far I heard that they will atleast count 13 years in schooling in which 1 year of prep and other 12 years of normal schooling as prep is also a part of compulsery study in America , canada and UK.

1. I have no idea if CIC/CHC will recognize your diplomas it would appear that you done 5 years worth of distance learning. If it is not from a recognized college or university it will not be counted.
2. You can't stack up the years of study like bricks. 14 years to get your 2 year diploma would be worth 20 points.

but every country has their own rule, in India we have 1 year of elementary and then 12 years of normal schooling, If you r frm india you should know that schools never take kid straight to first class, every kid has to do atleast one year of nursery/elementary. Except in case if kid has been to any other nursery school.

Look, understand that the maximum years that you are going to get for elementary and secondary school no matter what country you live in is 12 years.
