Hello Friends,

Does anyone know how to contact CIO?

I sent my application as per new rules (Effective June 26, 2010) with all required documents. I chose VISA card as my method of payments. But unfortunately, right after I sent my application, I got a call from my bank that another bank acquired this bank and now we will issue new MasterCard instead of VISA cards. I am so depressed, I spent hell lot of time in collecting my documents (especially the FBI report, which took me months). I am wondering if anyone had similar experience in past, where they had to change the payment method or change the Credit or Debit card number or in other words if someone was able to contact CIO via phone, email or fax. They never answer the postal mail correspondence.

Your help and concern will be highly appreciated.

Thank You & God Bless You.

the email address CIO use to send AOR doesn't accept the emails. Your option is to contact CIC customer services they may be able to tell you that they have received your application they will not give you in depth details expect if its received and waiting to be reviewed. The CIC customer contact again depends where you are at the moments its for Canada only 1-888-242‑2100. Or another option is mail another payment form to CIO with new cards details on it or with money order and explain the situation also attach a copy of your Background declaration main applicant as the CIO process is as following
1) App received
2) computer file created
3) Fee process if money order or certified cheque then straight to (4) as these payments are guaranteed or
3.1) Credit card payments authorization forward app to (4) with payment clearance doc, which should be cleared before they send you AOR and it is normally cleared when they received confirmation from their accounts that money is actually with them (normally add 2-4 weeks)
4) Review if meet the requirements send AOR
Currently CIO is working with application received by 28th of June,as per CIC web so try your luck. I think you need to choose option 2 looks u r from US.

I have already sent the new payment form the very next day of sending the original package. CIO received both mails on the same date (just 2 days ago, on Sep 01, 2010). I don't have any file number or case number yet.

if you are in Canada call the number and they will give you your client ID, if not then the best you can do is wait as they will not reply any email or fax. They have you on their system (they create a file straight away in 2-4 days with your name, DOB, address and application category e.g. temp resd or perm resd) and if you wrote an explanation with that then they can track u r application on their system in min and update the payment method.
