Not sure if there is a thread on this.... if so sorry for doubling it but I’ve seen many comments on not being able to call CIC outside Canada.
I’m in the US and needed to ask a question. Called the number and was promptly informed could not be completed outside Canada. I downloaded TextNow to my phone..... got assigned a Canada number ( you have to ask for Canada area code when prompted what area code you want) then I turned off location and was able to call!! Next to get into the que..... I chose option 2 and went thru the next prompts.... pushing zero for a real person.... was told that option not valid but kept pushing zero intil I was put thru. Then after a 45 minute wait was able to talk to someone! The number there is.... 888.242.2100 just keep trying!! I spent 30 min talking to someone once I got thru.
