Hello,

I am a PR holder and residing in Bangladesh. I got married in August 2014. I will be returning back to Canada on May. I tried to apply for my wife under visit visa to accompany me. But they have rejected. Now I have no other option left except to apply under sponsorship and spouse visa. My question is:
1. Since I am yet to go back to Canada, I don't have a job. Can I apply for my wife from BD?
2. If I can apply from BD, what should I mention about my work details? Do I tell them that I am unemployed?
3. Is there anyone in BC who can help me out with my application for my wife?
4. Can I apply a visit visa once again for my wife once I go back to Canada or should I stick to spouse visa?
5. How soon can she come to Canada?

Thank you. Any help will be highly appreciated.

1. No - you must be living in Canada to sponsor her and must continue living in Canada while the application is being processed.
2. See above.
3. Not sure if you mean the province of BC or this is a typo and you meant Bangladesh.
4. You can certainly try applying for another visitor visa - unfortunately they are often refused for spouses of Canadians (as has happened in your case). Since the first one was refused the second one likely will as well. The fact you are applying from Canada won't really make a difference.
5. Depends. If she can obtain a visitor visa then she can come to Canada on that visa. Otherwise she will have to wait until you have returned to Canada, applied for her PR, and her application has been approved.

1. You have to be in Canada to apply. And job is not necessary if you are only applying for your spouse only. But you have to give them explanation how you are going to support your spouse when you would the in Canada.
4. You have to apply for spouse sponsorship. Every other visas would rejected.
5. Time varies from person to person. Like for my case it took 11 months to receive the PP with Immigrant Visa on it.
But one thing after applying for my wife, i was in bd for almost 5 months to visit her. I was lucky that it went good for me. but many cases I heard that visa ofice ask for proof that you going back to Canada during the time of application proceeding.
