How to apply for wife and Kid temporary visa when I am in Canada

Hi..

I am in Canada on ICT Work permit for past 1 year and my wife and kid is in India. I have a valid work permit for 2 years more.

How can I apply for dependent visa for my spouse and Kid. Is it possible to apply online through CIC on behalf of my wife and kid and they just need to under go medical test in India.

Please guide me.

yes you can apply online: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/apply-how.asp
check 'apply online' under this link. It easy and fast. (While applying, in the application form you should select current country of residence = India (obviously) - so passport can be sent to Delhi consulate etc. Where to send passport is determined by this.)

As you are on work permit it will be easy to convince VO that you guys will be leaving back. Not sure how much you are earning though, if you are earning reasonable enough to maintain your family then it all looks good.

I guess you are also eligible to get spousal open work permit for your spouse.

Note: your wife should be technically doing this and digitally signing the application online. Or she may be able to authorize you to do on behalf of her by signing authorized rep. form.
