I recently got approval for my study visa(outside Canada). I would now like to apply for my kids' visiting visa (outside of Canada) since I did not do it as a part of my study application. Will I need to apply for a visiting visa for myself in order to apply for them? I am confused as to what to do and what answers to put for the questionnaires. it would appear I would have to apply for myself as well. I really need your help. oh and no, they will not be accompanying me for study but I would like for them to visit during school breaks.

What is the age of the children?

If they are of school going age, they will need a study permit else they need a visitor visa

You do not need to apply for yourself now that you have a Study visa approved. You will get your study permit at arrival

You can apply their visas with your Passport request letter.

Make sure to justify their purpose of visit and show enough funds. Good Luck

if children are not going to study in canada, they still study visa?

It depends on the age of the child

Many children have been refused visitor visa and asked to apply study visa if they are going to stay with their parent more than 6 months. You can search the forum for so many such outcomes.

If you apply now it will be assumed your children are trying to join you in Canada and not visiting
