If you are already a Canadian PR, you can't "add" him to any application. Your application is done.

You would need to sponsor him for PR, unless your wife is a Canadian citizen? See the family sponsorship board. As a PR, you would also need to be in Canada to sponsor him.

Since your child is US citizen, he needs no visa.

As a landed PR, you can only sponsor a dependant when you are living in Canada.

Your son as an American citizen can be admitted to Canada for up to 6 months as a visitor, then you can extend the visitor visa from within Canada.

Thanks Lammawitch. What is the procedure to apply him as a sponsor dependent after moving to canada please ?

As a landed PR:

If you have not already landed as a PR: contact CIC.

Thank you very much Lammawitch ! .. Can you please help me to understand the processing times.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp

It also says if dependent is outside canada, So does it means while me and my kid staying in USA also can apply or does it means sponsor must be in Canada and dependent can be outside canada ?

I am confused about these processing times. It looks too much while sponsor and dependent both are in canada, isn't it ?
